Educational Visit from SMA Islam Hidayatullah Semarang to FEB Undip

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro (FEB Undip), welcomed its first school visit of 2026 from students of SMA Islam Hidayatullah Banyumanik, Semarang, on Thursday, January 8, 2026. This visit was part of an early introduction to higher education, aimed at providing students with an initial overview of the academic environment at the university level. On this occasion, the Vice Dean for Resources of FEB Undip, Dr. Wahyu Meiranto, S.E., Akt., M.Si., delivered a presentation on higher education and shared comprehensive information about Universitas Diponegoro, with particular emphasis on the Faculty of Economics and Business. Through this session, the students were expected to gain valuable insights to support their planning for further education. The Principal of SMA Islam Hidayatullah Semarang, Etik Ningsih, S.Pd., who expressed her appreciation and gratitude to FEB Undip for providing the opportunity for students to visit and gain a closer understanding of higher education. She highlighted the visit as a valuable experience, allowing students to directly observe the academic atmosphere at one of Indonesia’s leading universities. This visit reflects FEB Undip’s commitment to supporting educational literacy and expanding access to information for prospective students, while also strengthening the faculty’s role as an inclusive higher education institution dedicated to the development of future generations.

FEB Undip Strengthens International Collaboration Through Staff Mobility Program at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro (FEB Undip), has successfully completed a Staff Mobility Program at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in Cape Town, South Africa. The delegation, represented by Prof. Dr. Indah Susilowati, M.Sc. and Prof. Dr. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Dean of FEB Undip, participated in the Land, Life and Society International Conference, held from 7–9 October 2025. The international conference brought together scholars and researchers from various countries to discuss the theme “Politics of Land and Resource Contestation in the Era of Global and Local Crises.” The event served as a platform for sharing insights and experiences on land governance, socio-ecological resilience, and sustainable development amid global challenges. During the conference, Prof. Indah Susilowati delivered a presentation titled: “V2V Action Research for Adaptation to Climate Change and Disruptive Shocks: Revitalising Local Wisdom, Culture, and Traditions (LWCT) on the North Coast of Central Java, Indonesia.” Her presentation highlighted Undip’s community-based research initiatives focused on strengthening local adaptive capacities through the revitalization of cultural and traditional practices to respond to climate and socio-economic disruptions. In addition to participating in the conference, the delegation also engaged in a series of academic discussions and collaborative meetings with UWC faculty members to explore potential long-term cooperation in research, teaching, and academic exchanges. Dean Prof. Faisal emphasized that the program has been a valuable opportunity to expand Undip’s global academic network and strengthen its position as a World Class University. “This collaboration not only enhances academic partnerships but also promotes intercultural understanding and supports Undip’s mission to contribute to global knowledge production,” stated Prof. Faisal. The University of the Western Cape (UWC), known for its strong commitment to social justice and sustainable development, shares common academic values with Undip. The synergy between both institutions is expected to pave the way for future initiatives such as joint research, faculty and student exchanges, and collaborative publications. Through this successful staff mobility program, Undip reaffirms its commitment to international engagement and continuous improvement of academic excellence, contributing actively to global discussions on sustainability, resilience, and inclusive development.

FEB Undip Holds Public Hearing for the Formulation of Vision and Mission 2025–2029

Semarang – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip), held a Public Hearing for the formulation of its Vision and Mission, as well as the discussion of the Draft Strategic Plan 2025–2029, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Pertamina Hall, FEB Undip. The event was attended by representatives of students, lecturers, academic staff, alumni, and external stakeholders. Through this forum, FEB Undip reaffirmed its commitment to providing high-quality business education, fostering global competitiveness, and delivering a positive impact on society. In his opening remarks, the Dean of FEB Undip emphasized that this new vision and mission formulation is an important step in strengthening the faculty’s role as one of the largest at Diponegoro University, contributing to Undip’s goal of becoming a World Class University (WCU) and reaching the QS Top 500 by 2025–2029. The strategic plan also highlights the importance of Good University Governance, data-driven decision-making (evidence-based management), and the development of adaptive educational and research services that respond to global challenges and changes. Through this Public Hearing, all members of the FEB Undip academic community were invited to actively participate by sharing constructive ideas and feedback. Their contributions are expected to enrich the substance of the vision, mission, and strategic direction of the faculty for the next five years. This activity also reflects FEB Undip’s commitment to collaboration and transparency in the formulation of inclusive and participatory strategic policies—realizing higher education that is both dignified and impactful.

Tuition Fee Refund for Final-Year Students – Even Semester 2024/2025

April 22, 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Diponegoro (FEB Undip) informs final-year students of the opportunity to apply for a Single Tuition Fee (UKT) refund of up to 50% for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This policy, outlined in Letter No. 387/UN7.A/KU/IV/2025, applies to students who meet the following criteria: Diploma (D3) students in semester 8 or above Undergraduate and Applied Bachelor students in semester 10 or above Have completed UKT payment for the Even Semester 2024/2025 Did not receive any UKT reduction for the same semester Are enrolled in 6 credits (SKS) or fewer 📌 Application Procedure: Applications must be submitted online via the Undip SSO portal, with the following documents: IRS (Study Plan) for Even Semester of 2024/2025 Proof of UKT payment Copy of student’s bank account book Statement from academic advisor regarding thesis progress or a Graduation Certificate (SKL) for those who have completed their studies 🗓️ Deadline for submission: May 5, 2025 Following submission, the faculty will conduct verification before forwarding the application to the university level. Refunds will be processed in stages after approval. This initiative aims to provide financial support for final-year students and encourage timely completion of their academic journey.

Posbindu PTM FEB UNDIP: Maintain Health with a Healthy Lifestyle!

Semarang, October 10, 2023 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro (FEB Undip) recently held Posbindu PTM (Posko Pembinaan Terpadu Penyakit Tidak Menular) means an integrated guidance post for the early detection and prevention of Non–communicable diseases (NCDs). This event was first organized nationally by The Indonesian Ministry of Health, further Posbindu PTM can be implemented in multi-sectors, including government, community, schools, universities, work-places, and industry. This activity was held on Friday, October 6, at the lobby of the FEB Undip Entrepreneurship Building. The standard programs carried out by this event were; checking blood pressure, blood sugar, uric acid, height, weight, and abdominal circumference. This activity also involved the active role of students from the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Undip, and collaborated with UPT K3L Undip. Where they provide additional information about the importance of maintaining health and implementing a healthy lifestyle (health counseling). This Posbindu PTM event, indicates a strong commitment of FEB Undip of collaboration in creating a healthy campus environment and supporting efforts to prevent NCDs. Hopefully similar event can continue to be carried out to support the health and welfare of the academic community in the future.  

Inauguration of the 19th Professor of FEB UNDIP: Prof. Dr. Harjum Muharam, S.E., M.E.

The inauguration of the Professor in the Department of Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Harjum Muharam, S.E., M.E., was held on Tuesday (5/09). The event conducted offline at the Prof. Soedarto Building, SH. Universitas Diponegoro, and was broadcast live through the Undip TV Official YouTube channel. With this, Prof. Harjum Muharam officially became one of the 19 active professors at FEB Undip. Before being appointed as a Professor, Prof. Harjum Muharam had completed his undergraduate studies at the FEB UGM Management study program, a Master of Management at FE UI and a Doctoral degree at FEB Undip. In the inaugural event, Prof. Harjum Muharam delivered an inaugural speech entitled “Integrasi Pasar Modal Dunia, Efisiensi Pembiayaan Perusahaan Dan Negara, Serta Kesejahteraan Investor.” He chose the title because the capital market has an important role in economic development and the business cycle in an economy. The Indonesian Capital Market is important for companies, governments, and investors. Although it has been integrated with the global capital market, the level of integration is still weak. At the end of his speech, Prof. Harjum Muharam explained the factors that affect the credibility of the Capital Market in Indonesia. “The credibility of the capital market in Indonesia is influenced by various factors, including the legal and regulatory framework, financial development, property rights protection, market integration, and political stability. Efforts to strengthen these factors are critical to enhance market credibility, attract investment, and drive economic growth. Reforms and continuous improvements to market infrastructure, investor protection, and regulatory enforcement are needed to further enhance the credibility of Indonesia’s capital market”.

FEB Undip’s Collaboration: Discussing About Student Internship Program in Europe with Two Distinguished Institutions!

Semarang, 24, July 2023 – Located in Sidang Senat Room of the Dekanat building of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), a socialization and discussion meeting regarding the “Working Holiday Internship Program in Europe” was held in collaboration with PT MNC Guna Usaha Indonesia and Binawan University. The purpose of this meeting is to explore the potential of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in developing the quality of education, especially in the MBKM Internship program. The meeting was attended by a team from FEB Undip, including lecturers and education staff, led by Prof. Suharnomo as the Dean of FEB Undip. He welcomed the socialization and discussion activities that discussed this cooperation opportunity. “FEB Undip is always open to collaborating with any institution both local and abroad,” he said. During the meeting, there were Darmansyah Setia Ardhi from PT MNC Guna Usaha Indonesia and Dr. Maryuni, as a representative from Binawan University. The presence of the two representatives of the institution indicates their seriousness and interest in developing the “Working Holiday in Europe” internship program with the MBKM approach. “The Working Holiday internship program in Europe aims to provide opportunities for Indonesian students to study and work as interns in Europe, especially in Germany during the winter holidays, around October to January,” said Dr. Maryuni. This socialization meeting is an important first step in formulating and implementing an overseas internship program that combines the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. There is great hope that this kind of overseas internship program can be leveled up. Where in addition to working, they also have the opportunity to learn and develop skills for students and support the improvement of the quality of education in Indonesia.

FEB Undip is releasing 83 students for overseas exposure activities.

On Friday (14/7/2023), the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) held a Pre-Departure event in the Sidang Utama room of the Dekanat Building. During this event, the FEB Undip released 83 students from the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) and Regular Program. The 83 students are set to engage in International Exposure through esteemed programs including Double Degree, Credit Transfer System (CTS), Short Course/Summer School, and IISMA (Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards). Double Degree program will provide opportunities for 34 students to obtain two degrees at once from partner universities abroad. Credit Transfer System (CTS) allows them to take several courses at partner universities to be recognized as part of their study curriculum at FEB Undip. The 83 students are from various study programs: 49 Management students, 32 Accounting students, and 2 Economics students. They will be spread to various top world campuses such as, National United University (Taiwan), Monash University (Australia), Universiti Malaya (Malaysia), Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), University of Birmingham (United Kingdom), Montpellier Business School (France), etc.   The pre-departure event for students which was held in online (zoom meeting) and offline platform was started by the dean of FEB Undip, Prof. Suharnomo, who gave remarks and encouragement to students who would take international academic trips. He said “We are very proud of the achievements of our students who have been selected to take part in International Exposure activities to renowned universities in various parts of the world. One thing that I emphasize here is that all of you must support each other and adapt well to the new environment and build your networking when you are abroad.” Additionally, the pre-departure event featured Benz Arya, an alumnus of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) program, who successfully completed his double degree studies at both Undip and Saxion University, Enschede, the Netherlands. Afina Hasya, S.T, M.M., as the coordinator of the International Office of FEB Undip, explained important things for students in preparing important documents needed for administration purposes before departure. This departure of the 83 FEB Undip students aligns with the university’s commitment to sustainable development goals (SDGs) and its mission as a World Class University (WCU). The institution aims to excel in education and international collaboration.

Attaché of Education and Culture of the Indonesian Embassy in Port Moresby Visited FEB Undip to establish Cooperation

Semarang, July 11, 2023 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro (FEB Undip) proudly welcomed a visit from the Attaché of Education and Culture of the Indonesian Embassy in Port Moresby, with the intention of exploring the potential for cooperation. The meeting that was attended by the Dean and staff of FEB Undip and also Dr. Chaerun Anwar as a representative of the Attaché of Education and Culture of the Indonesian Embassy in Port Moresby, conducted on the 1st floor of the Dekanat building, Sidang Senat Room of FEB Undip. The Dean of FEB Undip, Prof. Suharnomo, welcomed this visit enthusiastically to discuss opportunities for cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy in Port Moresby. He also stated that FEB Undip is always open to collaborating with domestic and foreign institutions. During the meeting, Dr. Chaerun Anwar expressed his intention to establish cooperation with FEB Undip. Some areas that are considered potential for cooperation are student exchange programs, joint research, and curriculum development. This visit is expected to be a good start in strengthening the relationship between FEB Undip and the Indonesian Embassy in Port Moresby, with the aim of fostering productive and sustainable collaboration in the fields of education and research.

The Signing of the Cooperation Agreement “Pojok Kemenkeu” at FEB Undip.

The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Finance of Central Java (Kemenkeu Jateng) in the context of establishing a “Pojok Kemenkeu” room on the FEB Undip campus. The signing of this cooperation was conducted in the Sidang Senat room, Dekanat building of the FEB Undip campus on July 7, 2023. The signing of the cooperation agreement was conducted by the Dean of FEB Undip, Prof. Suharnomo and the Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of the Ministry of Finance of Central Java, Muhdi, Ph.D. The Dean of FEB Undip welcomed this collaboration as a concrete step in improving the quality of education at FEB Undip. Meanwhile, Muhdi, Ph.D. hopes that “The existence of the Ministry of Finance Corner can provide a deeper insight into the latest policies. What is done by the Ministry of Finance can also motivate students to cultivate reading and writing.” The cooperation in the development of the “Pojok Kemenkeu” aims to provide online access to the latest quality literature for the academic world and efforts to improve students’ understanding of issues in the fields of economics and finance. With the signing of this cooperation agreement, FEB Undip and the Ministry of Finance of Central Java showed their commitment in advancing education, especially in the field of economics and as a forum for community, especially in the campus environment in the context of developing the tri dharma of higher education. The “Pojok Kemenkeu” room is expected to be completed in this August and will be located on the ground floor of B building of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro.
