Doctoral Program in Economics (S3)

The Doctoral Program in Economics (PDE) is a doctoral program in the fields of economics, management, and accounting designed to produce graduates who are capable of playing an active role in formulating and solving economic/management/accounting problems through theoretical and empirical studies by developing research based on interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, or multidisciplinary approaches to produce creative, innovative, and original works that receive national/international recognition. The PDE was officially established on March 11, 2002. The legal basis for the establishment of the PDE is Letter No. 497/D/T/2002 from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, dated March 11, 2002, regarding the Permit to Operate the Doctoral Program in Economics (S-3) at Diponegoro University.

PDE offers three concentrations: Doctor of Economics, Doctor of Management, and Doctor of Accounting. The Doctor of Economics program is accredited as “Excellent” in accordance with LAMEMBA Decision No. 013/DE/A.5/AR.12/IX/2023, and since 2021, the Doctor of Economics program has been internationally accredited by The Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). PDE offers both the Doctor by Course and Doctor by Research programs.
