FEB Undip Holds Public Hearing for the Formulation of Vision and Mission 2025–2029

Semarang – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip), held a Public Hearing for the formulation of its Vision and Mission, as well as the discussion of the Draft Strategic Plan 2025–2029, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Pertamina Hall, FEB Undip. The event was attended by representatives of students, lecturers, academic staff, alumni, and external stakeholders. Through this forum, FEB Undip reaffirmed its commitment to providing high-quality business education, fostering global competitiveness, and delivering a positive impact on society. In his opening remarks, the Dean of FEB Undip emphasized that this new vision and mission formulation is an important step in strengthening the faculty’s role as one of the largest at Diponegoro University, contributing to Undip’s goal of becoming a World Class University (WCU) and reaching the QS Top 500 by 2025–2029. The strategic plan also highlights the importance of Good University Governance, data-driven decision-making (evidence-based management), and the development of adaptive educational and research services that respond to global challenges and changes. Through this Public Hearing, all members of the FEB Undip academic community were invited to actively participate by sharing constructive ideas and feedback. Their contributions are expected to enrich the substance of the vision, mission, and strategic direction of the faculty for the next five years. This activity also reflects FEB Undip’s commitment to collaboration and transparency in the formulation of inclusive and participatory strategic policies—realizing higher education that is both dignified and impactful.

SMPN 2 Semarang Alumni Promote Aquatic Sustainability at FEB Undip Reservoir

On July 5, 2025, the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Diponegoro (FEB Undip) welcomed alumni from SMP Negeri 2 Semarang for a fish fry release activity at the faculty’s reservoir. This initiative was part of a shared commitment to environmental care and supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in aquatic ecosystem preservation. The event was attended by FEB Undip Dean, Prof. Faisal, who expressed appreciation for the alumni’s contribution. The fish release not only promotes biodiversity but also strengthens the connection between the academic community and public environmental efforts. FEB Undip continues to encourage collaborative actions that reflect sustainability values and foster ecological awareness across campus.

FEB Undip Students Empower Local MSMEs Through Digital Financial Transformation

Ardian Arafiq, a Management student at FEB Undip, participated in the 2025 Thematic Community Service Program (KKNT) by assisting Sigur.id, a local MSME in Branjang Village, Semarang. The business, known for its eco-resin crafts, was founded by local youth affected by the pandemic. During the program, Ardian introduced Credibook, a digital financial recording tool, and created a practical guide to help the business manage its finances more efficiently. He also supported improvements in digital marketing, including website updates and e-commerce integration. This initiative reflects FEB Undip’s commitment to community engagement and student involvement in real-world problem-solving, particularly in supporting MSMEs through digital transformation.

PT.GoTo (Gojek Tokopedia) Visits FEB UNDIP to Discuss Potential Collaborations in Education

The Faculty of Economics and Business of Diponegoro University (FEB Undip) welcomes the delegation from PT. GoTo, a company resulting from the merger of Gojek and Tokopedia, with the aim of exploring potential collaborations. The event was attended by Prof. Suharnomo, the Dean of FEB Undip, and team, as well as Nur Andriansyah, the Branch Manager of Gojek in Semarang region, along with the teams from Tokopedia. The meeting took place in the dean’s office building, 1st floor, senate meeting room of FEB Undip on Tuesday (12/09). Dean of FEB Undip, Prof. Suharnomo, welcomed this visit and expressed his enthusiasm for discussing collaboration opportunities with GoTo. He also stated that FEB Undip is always open to establishing partnerships with companies or institutions, both domestically and internationally. During the meeting, Nur Andriansyah explained Some areas considered potential for collaboration such as internship programs, learning partnerships, supporting facilities, guest lecturers, and scholarships. These collaborations are expected to provide new opportunities for the academic community to develop their knowledge and skills in technology and business relevant and to keep it up to date with nowaday’s conditions. Prof. Suharnomo added that FEB Undip is very open to update their student courses, especially in the fields of renewable energy, business, and food and science technology. The establishment of the new Digital Business study program at FEB Undip is a tangible step in realizing this vision. Therefore, GoTo’s presence here opens up opportunities for further exploration in areas such as Big Data, Data Analysis, and many more. This visit is hoped to be a positive start to strengthen the relationship between FEB Undip and PT. GoTo Gojek Tokopedia. It is expected to lead to the creation of productive and sustainable collaborations in the fields of education and research.

MSME Expo and Art Parade Enliven the 63rd Anniversary of FEB UNDIP

To enliven its 63rd Anniversary, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Diponegoro held a grand event namely the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) Expo and Art Parade which were held within the Faculty of Economics and Business Campus. This grand event is a series of many FEB UNDIP Anniversary events starting from the Khotmil Qur’an on February 24th, 2023 to the Expo and Art Parade on March 14th, 2023. This event was opened by the Dean of FEB Undip, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., with the symbol of ribbon cutting and hot air balloons release. The event concept provided by the Faculty of Economics and Business was like a people’s party. The MSME Expo activities were enlivened with art performances and fishing competitions. In addition, food coupons and door prizes were distributed to 1,000 people for free. The MSME Expo was filled with various groups of stands, including: culinary, beauty products, convection, handicrafts, several BUMN product stands, and so on. The MSME Expo is expected to foster students’ interest in being active in innovation and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, in the middle of the event, it was filled with door prizes and grand prizes in the form of 4 bicycles and 1 door refrigerator for all participants who won the lottery. This FEB Anniversary event has the theme “Think Big in Tech, We Do”. It is the spirit of the Faculty to stay up to date with the era developments, especially in the field of technology and information, which is a challenge that must be faced. Therefore, FEB UNDIP is committed to answering this challenge by establishing a new study program, Digital Business, that will be established in the 2023/2024 academic year.     Hopefully, by holding the 63rd FEB UNDIP Anniversary event, the Faculty become more reliable in carrying out the vision and mission to create the next generations who are highly competent and highly competitive in Indonesia and globally.

(FEB Undip Lecturer) Died on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 10.30 WIB, will be buried on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 16.00 WIB at the Mount Carmel Medina Cluster Cemetery, Kab. Semarang. May Allah SWT accept the good deeds and forgive all the mistakes of the deceased and the family left behind, given sincerity and fortitude. Amen.

Faculty of Economics and Business Diponegoro University Releases 61 International Undergraduate Program and Regular Students

The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Diponegoro University (Undip) has just released 61 students from the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) and the Regular Program in the Pre Departure Ceremony, Tuesday (21/06) at the Entrepreneurship Auditorium of the Lab Building. KWU 4th floor FEB Undip. Later on, the 61 students will carry out International Exposure including the Double Degree program, Credit Transfer System, Short Course, and IISMA. The 61 students came from several study programs, namely the International Business/Management Study Program as many as 43 people, the Accounting Study Program as many as 8 people, and the Economics and Finance Study Program as many as 10 people. While the universities that are the destination for these students are National United University (Taiwan), Monash University (Australia), Universiti Malaya (Malaysia), Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Curtin University (Australia), University of Liverpool (UK). , University of Exeter (UK), Radboud University (Netherlands), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands), University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), University of Western Australia (Australia), Kedge Business School (France), University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) (Switzerland), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Asia University (Taiwan), and Universidad Autonóma de Madrid (Spain). The release was also attended by the Dean, Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, Deputy Dean of Resources, Head of Department, Head of Study Program and Secretary of Management, Accounting, and Economics Study Program, Guardian Lecturer, International Office FEB, students’ parents/guardians, and 61 Students who will carry out International Exposure. The Dean of FEB, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Sc., in his speech expressed his pride for the 61 students who will later participate in International Exposure activities. “This morning is really happy for me and for the academic community at FEB Undip, because there are 61 students who will go abroad for Double Degree, Credit Transfer System, Short Course, and IISMA. We are very proud of all of you for this achievement, hopefully you can make Undip campus proud,” he said. On this occasion Prof. Suharnomo advised the 61 students to make the best use of this rare opportunity. “I ordered because later in other countries, take good care of yourself, this is a very rare opportunity, not many students have in general. Hopefully it will be used well. I believe you can do it.” explained Prof. Suharnomo. Furthermore, Prof. Suharnomo added that students who will carry out International Exposure must continue to adapt to the local culture and expand their network. “Continue to adapt, don’t be silent, and expand networking. There are customs and rules that must be respected, learn how to live in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment. Take good care of the alma mater’s name.” he added. Later, after the students graduate, Prof. Suharnomo hopes that students will have 3 competencies to face the current era of turbulence disruption, which include competence in data and information literacy, communication literacy, and human literacy. Representing IUP students, Sepvanna Syafa Setiadi admitted that she is happy to be one of the students who will carry out International Exposure activities. In this Pre Departure Ceremony International Undergraduate Program event, Sepvanna got a lot of insight on how she should behave later when doing the Double Degree program. Sepvanna, who comes from the Economics and Finance Study Program class of 2020, will undergo a Double Degree program at Curtin University, Australia. “Hopefully in the future I can return to Undip with the good name that I have done abroad later.” Sepvanna concluded. The International Undergraduate Program (IUP) FEB Undip requires students to take part in International Exposure activities. IUP FEB Undip has three study programs, namely International Business, Accounting, and Economics and Finance. With the release of these 61 students to various universities in several countries, Undip has further strengthened to become a World Class University (WCU).

Graduation Ceremony 166 Year 2022 Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University

On May 18, 2022, as many as 219 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University participated in the 166 graduation ceremony. The celebration event was held hybridly through online live streaming and offline which took place in the Hall of the Entrepreneurship Laboratory Building, FEB UNDIP, 4th floor. The offline event was attended by 47 graduates along with their parents/guardians at 19.00 WIB. The event which was attended by the Dean, Deputy Dean and Chair of the Senate took place in an orderly and solemn manner. This Thanksgiving event was the first time FEB Undip held a graduation which was attended by graduates offline. Deputy Dean I Firmansyah, Ph.D. report the best graduates of FEB Undip from each study program. The best graduates from the Bachelor of Management level were achieved by Prasasti Sekar Kinanti with a 3.91 GPA, Alfonso Raga Bahtera Economics study program with a 3.86 GPA, Widya Arga Putri Islamic Economics study program with a 3.62 GPA and Winda Pratiwi Accounting study program with a 3.84 GPA. From the Professional Accountant Education program, 2 graduates were achieved, namely Maria Immaculata P. with a 4.00 GPA and Dyah Nirmala Arum Janie with a 4.00 GPA. The best graduates from the Master of Management study program are I Gede Ary Raditya P. with a GPA of 4.00 and Godlove Dismas Ngowella with a GPA of 4.00, from the Masters of Economics study program, namely Anisa Fatmawati with a GPA of 3.92 and Master of Accounting Oghie Bagas Pramana S. with a GPA 3.81. In this celebration, FEB also released foreign graduates, namely Godlove Dismas Ngowella from Tanzania and Ehsanullah Oria from Afghanistan. Congratulations and success to the FEB Undip graduates!
