Dean of FEB Undip Releases Double Degree Program Students to the Netherlands and Australia

The International Undergraduate Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (IUP FEB Undip) requires students to take part in international exposure activities, one of the program is double degree (DD) program. This program is a two-degree program, where students will complete lectures at Undip and also partner universities abroad. This year is the first year that IUP FEB Undip will send students to take the DD program to Saxion University in the Netherlands and Curtin University in Australia. On Monday 24 June 2019, the Dean of FEB Undip released 14 IUP FEB Undip students to take part in the DD program to the Netherlands and Australia. A total of 9 students consisting of 5 Accounting Program students and 4 International Business Program IUP FEB Undip students will complete their studies at Saxion University in the Netherlands for approximately 2 to 3 semesters. Meanwhile, 5 students consisting of 3 students from the International Business program and 2 students from the Accounting Program IUP FEB Undip will study at Curtin University for 3 semesters and will return to Undip for 1 semester to complete their studies. In the discharge of these students, the Dean of FEB Undip, Dr. Suharnomo, SE, MSi accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Anis Chariri, SE, M.Com, PhD, Akt. And also the Vice Dean for Communication and Business Dra. Amie Kusumawardhani, MSc., PhD. The Dean of FEB Undip said that students should not let go of this golden opportunity to join the DD program by relaxing and not taking their studies seriously. Mrs. Amie Kusumawardhani added that during the lecture process abroad, students must always obey the existing rules and don’t hesitate to convey the problems they face to the relevant parties in order to make the study process smooth. While Prof. Anis Chariri, SE, M.Com, PhD, Akt urges students to always take part in activities and workshops organized for international students. This is intended so that students get material that can increase the ease of study and increase friendship among international students. On this occasion, the Dean of FEB Undip hopes that students can be successful in completing their studies and get the best results so that they can become examples for the next generations. Hopefully the DD IUP FEB Undip program can run smoothly and become a successful pilot project for the future.

Dean and Director of International Office FEB UNDIP Releases Double Degree Students to Paris, France

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University again sent students to take part in double degree programs abroad. The FEB Undip International Class has also sent eight students to implement the Credit Transfer System (CTS) to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in January 2019 for 1 semester. In February 2019, five FEB Undip International Class students were sent to carry out a double degree program to the Medicis Business School and University of Reunion, Paris, France, in coordination with the A2ID (Association Internationale et Interdiciplinaire de la Decision) institution. They are International Accounting and International Business class students of 2016 and 2017. The five students are Ong Teenya Augustine, Liana Novani Putri, Kristian Benardo, Muhammad Izudin Irfan, and Kevin Naufal Nadhif. These five students will undergo 1 year of study at the Medicis Business School and University of Reunion, Paris, France. The release of double degree program students by the Dean of FEB Undip, Dr. Suharnomo and Director of International Office FEB Undip Dr. Jaka Aminata in the Dean’s Room on February 15, 2019. It is hoped that students who take part in the double degree program will gain a lot of knowledge and skills to succeed in the global business environment and make the name of the Undip FEB institution at the international level.

National Seminar and Launching of the Central Java College Accounting Lecturer Forum

Tuesday (26/03) the Accounting Department FEB Undip held a national seminar entitled “The Impact of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 on the Role of Accounting Education”. Located in the hall of building C FEB Undip, this seminar was also opened directly by Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si as the dean of FEB Undip, Fuad, Ph.D as the Head of the Accounting Department of FEB Undip. This event was attended by accounting lecturers from universities in Central Java. This event was authorized by IAI (Indonesian Accountants Association) and all accounting departments of all universities in Central Java. The seminar material was delivered directly by accounting experts, namely Syaiful Ali, SE., MIS., PHD., CA and Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., Ak., CA., CMA. It was explained that in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, the accounting education curriculum must be adjusted to include learning objectives to develop skills and knowledge related to the integration of information technology into accounting and business. In this national seminar, the Launching of the Accounting Lecturer Forum for College in Central Java was also held. The purpose of the formation of this forum is to synergize learning and curriculum as well as a means of exchanging ideas for accountants for higher education educators in Central Java. With the establishment of this forum, it is hoped that educator accountants in Central Java can match their goals in developing the learning process so that they can keep up with the times.

Fun Walk for the 59th Anniversary of FEB Undip

Saturday (16/03/19). In commemoration of the 59th Anniversary, the Undip Faculty of Economics and Business held a fun walk event which took place at the Undip FEB Dome. The event began with a joint exercise in the Dean’s Field of FEB Undip at 06.00 WIB, then continued with a healthy walk which was opened with the release of balloons by the Dean of FEB Undip Dr Suharnomo., SE., M.Sc. The healthy walk was attended by approximately 263 participants consisting of lecturers, employees, alumni, and FEB Undip students. This year’s fun walk takes the route with the starting line at the Dean’s Field FEB Undip – FIB Undip – Widya Puraya – Electrical Engineering – Faculty of Public Health – Faculty of Psychology and the finish line at the entrance of FEB. After the implementation of the healthy walk, came the entertainment program. This event was opened by remarks from the Head of the Accounting Department, Fuad., M.Sc., Ph.D as the Chairperson of the 59th FEB Undip Anniversary Committee. In addition to the Dean of FEB Undip, Dr. Suharnomo., SE., M.Si. Ausi Kurnia Kawoco was also present as a representative from Ikafe Undip. The agenda was followed by a joint breakfast accompanied by band performances from students and employees. This fun walk event was even more interesting with the distribution of door prizes for three motorbikes, televisions, refrigerators, mountain bikes, scholarships, and various other prizes. Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab FEB Undip Held 4th Training : Equity Analysis and Fix Income

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip) held the 4th Bloomberg Training event by Bloomberg LP Singapore on July 18 2019, with theme “Equity Analysis and Fix Income”. This training was attended by in addition to teaching staff from FEB Undip, also attended by teaching staff from FEB UNDIP partners, namely FE Unnes, FEBI UIN Walisongo Semarang, FEBI IAIN Pekalongan and FEB Untag Surabaya. The training was held at the Bloomberg Financial Market Laboratory – Laboratory Building – Library, FEB UNDIP ground floor starting at 09.30 to 12.30 WIB. This Bloomberg Training on Equity Analysis and Fix Income is part of a series of trainings by Bloomberg LP to provide teaching staff with knowledge and expertise in the operation of the Bloomberg terminal and the use of functions related to equity analysis contained in the terminal. The instructors this time were Mr. Humphrey Johandy P and Timothius Heizel from Bloomberg LP, Singapore.

Optimizing the Use of E-Journals and E-Books, Workshops Implement FEB Undip

On 2 July 2019, the Diponegoro University Faculty of Economics and Business Library (FEB Undip) held an event entitled Workshop on Smart Ways to Access E-Resources: Optimizing the Use of E-Journals and E-Books for Students in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University. The event was attended by 105 participants from S1 Management students 3 students, S1 IESP 9 students, S1 Accounting 3 students and S1 Islamic Economics 1 student, S2 Management 16 students, S2 Magister in Accounting 19 students, S2 Magister IESP 47 students and Doctor of Sciences Economics as many as 7 students were held in the Main Meeting Room, Gd. Dean of FEB Undip at 09.00 – 15.30 WIB. The event aims to introduce digital content in the form of e-resources to FEB Undip students. The event was opened by the Head of the FEB Undip Library, Dr. Endang Fatmawati, M.Sc., MA., and attended by resource persons from the Undip FEB Library, iGroup and Gramedia who introduced digital content services from journals, e-books, databases owned as reference material for scientific works. In this workshop, techniques and strategies on how to search for information are discussed, how to determine the topic of scientific papers, restrictions on e-resources searches subscribed to by Undip and from outside agencies including the National Library of Indonesia, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and Sage Knowledge. It is hoped that with this workshop, participants can make maximum use of e-resources as reference material for making scientific papers and lectures.

Farewell to the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip) on (7/8) held a farewell ceremony for the vice dean. The farewell event was held at the Pertamina Hall, FEB Undip Dean Building, Tembalang. The event was attended by the FEB Undip academic community consisting of lecturers, employees, students. The purpose of holding this event is to release the deputy dean for the 2014-2019 period and introduce the vice dean for the 2019-2024 period. FEB Undip officials for the 2015-2019 period, whose term of office has ended, are Deputy Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs, Anis Chariri, Ph.D., Deputy Dean II for Resources, Wahyu Meiranto, SE., M.Sc., Deputy Dean III for Communication and Business, Amie Kusumawardhani, Ph.D., and Vice Dean IV for Research and Innovation Firmansyah, Ph.D.. Anis Chariri, Ph.D. representing the remarks from the deputy dean for the 2015-2019 period, thanked all parties for their support and apologized for our mistakes and shortcomings during our tenure. The organizational structure of FEB Undip for the 2019-2024 period, the dean is assisted by two deputy deans, consisting of the Deputy Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs and the Deputy Dean II for Resources. The Vice Dean I for the 2019-2024 period is Firmansyah, Ph.D. who previously served as Deputy Dean IV for Research and Innovation for the 2015-2019 Period and Deputy Dean II for the 2019-2024 Period Dr. Warsito Kawedar previously served as Director of Accounting at Diponegoro University. Congratulations on taking the task to the new deputy dean and thank you to the old vice dean for the work achievements that have been achieved during his leadership for FEB Undip.

FEB Undip Conducts Bloomberg Fixed Income Training at Bloomberg Financial Markets Laboratory

The Fixed Income training was held at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University on August 28, 2019. This training was held at the Bloomberg Financial Markets Laboratory, Ground Floor, Laboratory Building and Library of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University. The training brought speakers from Bloomberg, the Singapore Prison, Humphrey Johandy Putra. The event was attended by FEB lecturers and invited lecturers from universities in Indonesia.

FEB Undip Holds a Discussion Forum “Development Planning in the Context of Preparation for the Preparation of the 2020-2024 RPJMN” with Bappenas

Thursday (24/1) at the Main Meeting Room, Lt. II FEB UNDIP Dean Building, National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) held a discussion forum with the theme Development Planning in the Framework of Drafting the 2020-2024 RPJMN. This event was attended by undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students from Diponegoro University, as well as students from USM University and UIN Walisongo. This discussion forum presented two keynote speakers, namely Dr.Muhammad Cholifihani, S.E., M.A. as Director of Financial Services and BUMN – Bappenas RI and Eka Chandra Buana, S.E., M.A. as Director of Macro Planning and Statistical Analyst – Bappenas RI. Each keynote speaker presented a different material. Eka Chandra Buana, S.E., M.A. delivered material on “Macroeconomic Framework 2020-2024”. Eka mentioned several reasons that caused the structural transformation to fail, including overlapping regulations and bureaucratic obstacles, the low quality of human resources and labor productivity, and the low quality of infrastructure. These factors are the cause of low innovation and investment quality. Various efforts that can be taken to overcome this problem are to facilitate structural transformation through increasing efficiency, productivity and added value. Improvements on the supply side are also needed, balanced by strengthening domestic demand and improving international trade performance. While the second material presented by Dr. Muhammad Cholifihani, S.E., M.A. related to “Financial Deepening in Indonesia and the Direction of Inclusive Financial Policy”. In his presentation, Cholifihani said that the financial inclusion policy is a form of financial deepening aimed at the community at the bottom of the pyramid to take advantage of formal financial services. There are two main indicators in financial inclusion, namely TPF/GDP and Credit/GDP. The government in this case has drawn up policy directions related to these two indicators, one of which is about policy directions to encourage the development of MSMEs.

Encouraging Laboratory and Library Accreditation, Establishment of Certification Bodies, and Improvement of Library Services, FEB Conducts Comparative Studies

In order to meet the demands of higher education, namely accreditation and certification related to laboratory services, and research labs which are the Work Indicators of Diponegoro University (IKU-Undip), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip) on 29 – 30 April 2019 conducted a comparative study to agencies authorized for accreditation and certification in Jakarta. This is done as a step to support Undip to become an international standard university with superior quality resources through accreditation and standardization assessments. The comparative study activity was led by the Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation FEB Undip, Firmansyah, Ph.D, followed by Anis Chariri, Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs FEB Undip), Dr. Endang Fatmawati (Head of Library FEB Undip), expert staff for Research and Innovation, Andrian B.P., S.E., M.Sc., and staff for Research and Innovation, Yonathan S. and Dita Wahyu P.. Comparative study was carried out in Jakarta with three objectives agencies, namely the National Accreditation Committee – National Standardization Agency (KAN-BSN), the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), and the National Library of Indonesia. Until now and in the future, FEB continues to conduct various trainings in study laboratories, and through this visit FEB can understand the standards for certification that must be carried out, including accreditation of service units at FEB UNDIP. It is hoped after this study visit several service units such as laboratories and libraries can lead to accreditation assessments, and study laboratories as research and training support, can become a certification body for students, graduates and the general public so that they are ready to have standards that can compete in the business and work world. both nationally and globally.
