The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Diponegoro University (Undip) has just released 61 students from the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) and the Regular Program in the Pre Departure Ceremony, Tuesday (21/06) at the Entrepreneurship Auditorium of the Lab Building. KWU 4th floor FEB Undip. Later on, the 61 students will carry out International Exposure including the Double Degree program, Credit Transfer System, Short Course, and IISMA. The 61 students came from several study programs, namely the International Business/Management Study Program as many as 43 people, the Accounting Study Program as many as 8 people, and the Economics and Finance Study Program as many as 10 people.

While the universities that are the destination for these students are National United University (Taiwan), Monash University (Australia), Universiti Malaya (Malaysia), Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Curtin University (Australia), University of Liverpool (UK). , University of Exeter (UK), Radboud University (Netherlands), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands), University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), University of Western Australia (Australia), Kedge Business School (France), University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) (Switzerland), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Asia University (Taiwan), and Universidad Autonóma de Madrid (Spain).

The release was also attended by the Dean, Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, Deputy Dean of Resources, Head of Department, Head of Study Program and Secretary of Management, Accounting, and Economics Study Program, Guardian Lecturer, International Office FEB, students’ parents/guardians, and 61 Students who will carry out International Exposure.

The Dean of FEB, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Sc., in his speech expressed his pride for the 61 students who will later participate in International Exposure activities. “This morning is really happy for me and for the academic community at FEB Undip, because there are 61 students who will go abroad for Double Degree, Credit Transfer System, Short Course, and IISMA. We are very proud of all of you for this achievement, hopefully you can make Undip campus proud,” he said.

On this occasion Prof. Suharnomo advised the 61 students to make the best use of this rare opportunity. “I ordered because later in other countries, take good care of yourself, this is a very rare opportunity, not many students have in general. Hopefully it will be used well. I believe you can do it.” explained Prof. Suharnomo.

Furthermore, Prof. Suharnomo added that students who will carry out International Exposure must continue to adapt to the local culture and expand their network. “Continue to adapt, don’t be silent, and expand networking. There are customs and rules that must be respected, learn how to live in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment. Take good care of the alma mater’s name.” he added.

Later, after the students graduate, Prof. Suharnomo hopes that students will have 3 competencies to face the current era of turbulence disruption, which include competence in data and information literacy, communication literacy, and human literacy.

Representing IUP students, Sepvanna Syafa Setiadi admitted that she is happy to be one of the students who will carry out International Exposure activities. In this Pre Departure Ceremony International Undergraduate Program event, Sepvanna got a lot of insight on how she should behave later when doing the Double Degree program.

Sepvanna, who comes from the Economics and Finance Study Program class of 2020, will undergo a Double Degree program at Curtin University, Australia. “Hopefully in the future I can return to Undip with the good name that I have done abroad later.” Sepvanna concluded.

The International Undergraduate Program (IUP) FEB Undip requires students to take part in International Exposure activities. IUP FEB Undip has three study programs, namely International Business, Accounting, and Economics and Finance. With the release of these 61 students to various universities in several countries, Undip has further strengthened to become a World Class University (WCU).
